I like to try my best to seek the truth and understand the ties across history, religion, and philosophy. I think there is a lot we can learn about trade-driven empires (Crusades, maritime empires) and revolutionary Europe. I like economics, game theory, and working with the best tech-enabled companies on growth.
I currently do the latter through flywheelos.com. Come join me for dinnerI sometimes host dinners with cool people. Say hi..
Here are a few things I believe in,
what I'm learning about,
things I have written,
online pieces worth your time,
and the books I like to give away.

- Evolve faster than school taught you to. School upgrades you every two or three years, and a degree takes three. Adults should evolve much quicker. Some people evolve eight times in the time it takes others to do it once.
- Be fast. Physically and mentally. Do things fast and get them done. Nobody likes a slow person.
- Think in n dimensions. Every real decision has more variables than you can picture. Hamming showed that in high dimensions almost all the volume sits at the surface, so the best design usually pushes one or two things to the extreme.
- Put some dots on the map. Make small bets in lots of places. You can't connect dots you never placed.
- Avoid repeatability. Nature runs on cycles, yet nothing in it stays the same for long. Over a long stretch, your weeks shouldn't look alike.
- Pick partners you respect. Skill can be taught and equity can be renegotiated. Once respect goes, it rarely comes back, and everything after gets harder.
- You don't have to tell everyone everything. Some cards stay face down. Some laundry dries indoors.
- Take pictures. I looked back at one summer and found commutes and screens. A photo a day gives you the year back.
